Using Social Media as a marketing tool is not a new, but a tool that many are still resisting or not taking seriously. It may seem exhausting to have to have an active blog, tweet regularly, Instagram, and have a company Facebook page in addition to a website, as well as be very conscious about what is being said about your company on online — but people are going to talk about your company and your brand whether you like it our not. Think about this way, by engaging in the conversation through social media you have some control of what is being said about your product, service or corporation.
Still aren’t convinced …and your excuse is you don’t have the time or the staff to be on Facebook or tweeting? Did you know that engaging with your customers regularly builds customer loyalty? It is true! If one of your customers LIKEs your company on Facebook that single LIKE may in turn create a new circle of Facebook followers and twitter feeds for your company — they will happily generate all these leads for you company for free — plus be your customer. Now, consider if you generate a lot of LIKES… WOW!!! All you have to do is continue to make a terrific product and keep your same social media effort going strong. How can you afford NOT to spend time on your social media marketing efforts every day?

- Customers always expect to get timely responses.
- Customers like to feel important. Respect them. You are in business for them, because of them and building a long-term relationship with not only will keep you in business it will help grow your business — get to know them. Social media is a great welcome mat!
